Mr. Tuong Duy Luong, former Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, is one of the most experienced and highly regarded judges in the field. With over 30 years of experience in adjudicating civil and commercial cases, he has authored hundreds of articles, specialized research papers, and several key publications on Civil and Commercial Law. Some of his notable works include Scientific Commentary on Judgments & Case Law, Civil and Economic Law, Civil Law and Judicial Practice, Commentary on the Civil Procedure Code, Commercial Arbitration Law, and Judicial Practice, and Statute of Limitations, Inheritance, and Judicial Practice, etc. In addition, he was the lead drafter of Resolution No. 01/2014 of the Council of Judges of the Supreme People's Court, which provides guidance on the implementation of certain provisions of the Arbitration Law. He also contributed to the amendments of the Civil Codes of 2005 and 2015, the Civil Procedure Codes of 2004 and 2015, and various other specialized laws.
Mr. Luong has been invited as a guest speaker at major legal conferences and forums both domestically and internationally in Vietnam. He has also participated in judicial training programs, lecturing at the Judicial Academy and the Academy of Justice, as well as conducting training sessions for the court system. His most recent involvement was in a training session on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Vietnam, organized by the Supreme People’s Court.
Currently, he serves as an arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) and as a Senior Counsel at LegalLink.
